How to Get a Quality Baseball or Softball Swing
Rami Shmuely, a resident of Miami, FL, is an attorney with Chavin Mitchell Shmuely PA. Outside of work, Rami Shmuely enjoys playing softball and baseball. He has coached a youth baseball team since 2015, teaching children the fundamentals of playing baseball.
A quality baseball or softball swing relies on three core components: posture, connection, and rotation. Each component plays an important role in unlocking the ability to swing effectively.
First, batters should avoid standing with their feet too close together or their knees locked. Instead, they should steady themselves with a wide stance, with their knees bent and feet far apart. This enables the use of the whole body.
A good connection, meanwhile, involves limiting the extension of the arms at the point of contact with the ball. The batter’s arms should only begin to extend after the point of contact.
Finally, rotation requires the hips and shoulders to work in tandem, using the body's core strength to generate most of the force. The smaller muscles of the arms, wrists, and hands do not provide force for the swing, but instead channel that force into the ball effectively.
By building good posture, solid connection, and strong rotation, a batter can greatly extend a swing's force.

Florida's Slip and Fall Laws
As an attorney with the law firm of Chavin Mitchell Shmuely in North Miami, FL, Rami Shmuely represents plaintiffs in a broad range of personal injury cases. In 2015, Rami Shmuely secured one of the year's largest statewide jury awards on behalf of a slip-and-fall client.
If a person suffers an injury on a property belonging to another individual or organization, the injured party may be able to secure compensation for medical expenses. In some cases, it could be necessary for the injured party to prove that the property owner and/or employees knew about the hazardous conditions that led to the fall. In some instances, the injured person's legal team must prove that the owner of the premises made a deliberate choice not to address the issue.
The court may also find that the plaintiff was partially at fault. Because Florida follows the pure comparative negligence rule, such a decision reduces the amount of compensation by the plaintiff's percentage of fault. For example, if the plaintiff is 20 percent at fault and the court grants a $100,000 award, that individual would receive $80,000.

A Lower-Impact Midfoot Approach to Running
Rami Shmuely is a Miami, FL-based attorney who focuses on the prosecution of personal injury actions, with an emphasis on aspects of law such as uninsured motorist coverage and third-party liability. When away from work Rami Shmuely has a passion for boating and fishing, and also enjoys fitness activities such as running and weightlifting.
One aspect of running that many enthusiasts confront over time is the wear and tear it can exert on the joints and the ligaments. As developed by stride specialists and biomechanists, one way of minimizing this impact is through hitting the ground on the midfoot, rather than the heel. First developed in the 1970s as the Pose Method, this technique brings runners back to a “natural” style that also incorporates an upright, slightly forward posture and short, frequent strides. Ideally the feet should hit the ground directly under the hips, within a high cadence gait.
Attention to these aspects of running, which reduces muscular effort, can gradually lead to a “soft” style that is distinct from the common heel-strike approach. Without impacting speed or endurance once it's fully incorporated into one's routine, midfoot running helps prevent overuse injuries.

The Role of Court Mediators in Florida
Rami Shmuely is an attorney with Chavin Mitchell Shmuely, PA, in Miami, Florida, where he handles cases relating to insurance and personal injury protection. In addition to his work with the firm, Rami Shmuely has served as a licensed county court mediator. Florida’s court mediation services are available for county civil, family law, and dependency cases.
Court mediators provide mediation services for disputing parties to help them reach an agreement on contending issues. They encourage cooperation between the involved parties and facilitate resolutions through joint problem solving and the exploration of alternative settlements. Communications and information exchanged during the mediation process also remains confidential. If the parties involved are unable to come to an agreement, then the case may go to trial.
Mediation services provide a number of benefits. The cooperative nature of the process allows parties to decide upon mutually beneficial terms, rather than following orders determined by a judge. Mediation services also cost less than resolving a case in court and may not take as long depending on how long it takes the involved parties to reach a solution.

Car Accident Settlements in Florida
Rami Shmuely serves as an attorney in the North Miami, FL, firm of Chavin Mitchell Shmuely, P.A. In this role, Rami Shmuely prosecutes a variety of personal injury cases, including those resulting from collisions with uninsured or under-insured motorists.
The first thing a person injured in a Florida car accident needs to know is that the state follows a no-fault system for awarding damages. This means that whenever an accident causes harm to a person or his or her property, the injured party must first seek compensation from his or her own insurance company.
The injured person’s insurer will pay for costs associated with medical care, lost income, cost of repairs, and other economic and non-economic damages, up to the individual's policy limits. In the state of Florida, these limits may be no less than $10,000. To accept this compensation, the policy holder must agree not to pursue further compensation related to the event.
The exception to this rule becomes relevant when an accident causes death or permanent injury. In these cases, the injured party may bring a court case against the other driver, provided that he or she initially files with the court within four years of the date of the accident.
